Noah Brown had a short-lived tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders, but his career may not be over quite yet. A former seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Ohio State product spent his early years as a benchwarmer before breaking out in 2022. Starting in 13 games for the Dallas Cowboys while appearing in 16, the veteran finished the season with a respectable 43 receptions for 555 yards and three touchdowns. While nobody would confuse him with an All-Pro type of player, he showed he can be a reliable part of a passing attack. Noah Brown spent the next two seasons with the Houston Texans and Washington Commanders, respectively, and put up similar numbers in the 2023 and 2024 seasons. However, he had a rough 2025, finishing the season with just five receptions for 83 yards as injuries limited him to just four games. He recently signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, but the team released him after one week. While this could be the end of the line for the 30-year-old, Bleacher Report‘s Kristopher Knox believes he could rebound with the Houston Texans or Washington Commanders. “While the 30-year-old didn’t mesh with a Raiders team looking to skew young, he could be a strong addition to a contender in need of veteran depth,” Knox writes. “Brown played just four games with the Washington Commanders last season because of groin and rib injuries. However, the previous season, he caught 35 passes for 453 yards and a touchdown…He’d make a ton of sense for a playoff hopeful that has employed him before, like Washington or the Houston Texans.” Noah Brown Tied To Texans, Commanders In Latest Rumor There was a time when Noah Brown could have been a fit on the Houston Texans, but that window of opportunity probably closed following the Kayshon Boutte trade. Nico Collins is still the unquestioned top option in this passing attack, but Boutte should step into the WR2 role now that second-round pick Jayden Higgins will miss the 2026 season. Boutte is no superstar, but pairing him with Collins and the promising Jaylin Noel should be enough for quarterback C.J. Stroud to succeed. If Noah Brown signed with the Houston Texans, he wouldn’t be anything more than the fourth or fifth option on the depth chart. Collins, Boutte, and Noel are better options at this stage in their respective careers, and veteran Xavier Hutchinson is probably a safer player as well. Houston has a strong supporting cast, and Noah Brown won’t be the difference between success and failure for this passing attack. If Stroud can’t make it work with these weapons, Houston must find another option. Reunion In Washington This one makes a little more sense for Noah Brown. After reaching the NFC Championship Game in 2024, expectations were sky-high for the Washington Commanders in 2025. Unfortunately, they couldn’t live up to those standards, as injuries and an aging roster led the team to a disastrous season. Quarterback Jayden Daniels could use some more help, especially since the offensive line looks like one of the worst in the league. Veterans Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs are a solid duo, but someone else must step up as a third option for the quarterback. Unfortunately, if the Washington Commanders were going to sign Noah Brown, they probably would have done it by now. The team needed help at wide receiver throughout the offseason and never decided to retain the player who spent the past two seasons with the organization.
