He'll give you his views each day on the game he loves. *** So, I already ranked the teams, 1 to 40. How am a feeling about the conferences? There are 10 playing in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Remember, I'm sensitive so please no digital booing if that is a thing. LEAGUE TEAMS 8. SUN BELT 14 TEAM TO BEAT James Madison -- The last two head coaches of the Dukes are now in the Big Ten: Indiana miracle worker Curt Cignetti and UCLA's Bob Chesney, who led James Madison to the College Football Playoff. No pressure on the new guy, Billy Napier, who knows what that is about from his time at Florida. -- Chesney took some of his best from JMU with him to California in what had to be the easiest sales pitch ever. The Dukes welcome back just three starters, one on offense and two on defense. -- The expectations in Harrisonburg are now sky high, which in this case is a good thing. The support is strong and Napier's background in both the Sun Belt and SEC helps. CIRCLE THE DATE Troy at James Madison, Oct. 29. The Trojans will be looking for revenge after losing by 17 to the Dukes in 2025. James Madison is considered the favorite to take the East and Troy is a pick in the West.
