2026 U.S. Masters Summer National Championships - Aug. 5-9, 2026 - Sacramento, California - LCM (50 meters) - Meet Central The old song “At Seventeen” would have been nice theme music to play on the third day of the U.S. Masters Summer National Championships in Sacramento on Friday. Overall, 17 records were set at the meet on the third of five competition days at the North Natomas Aquatic Complex. The records that fell were: - Katie Glenn set AQUA Masters world and USMS records in the 50 breast for the 50-54 women’s age group with a time of 34.07. - In the women’s 70-74 age group, Olympian Colette Crabbe — who competed at the 1976 Montreal Games for Belgium— set a new USMS record in the 50 breast, clocking a time of 42.49. - Lincoln Hall set a new men’s USMS 50 breast record in the 18-24 age group, finishing with a time of 28.69. - David Guthrie established a new AQUA Masters world and USMS record for the men’s 65-69 age group in the 50 breast, producing a time of 32.86. - Laura Val set multiple records in the women’s 75-79 age group. In the 100 freestyle, Val set AQUA Masters and USMS records with a time of 1:09.58. Leading off in a medley relay, Val also had AQUA Masters world and USMS records in the 50 back with a time of 36.11. - Diann Uustal established a new USMS 100 free record in the women’s 80-84 age group, coming in with a time of 1:24.87. - In the men’s 40-44 age group, Andy Grant set a new USMS record in the 100 free with a time of 51.44. - Andre Steynberg set new AQUA Masters world and USMS records in the 100 free for the men’s 70-74 age group, clocking a time of 1:02.40. - Joel Wilson established new AQUA Masters world and USMS records in the 400 IM competing in the men’s 75-79 age group, finishing with a time of 6:13.97. - The San Francisco-based Olympic Club set five records in relay events, three of which came in the mixed 200 free relay. In the 72-99 age group, Olympic set a new USMS record with a time of 1:43.59. The 100-119 age group team also set a USMS record, clocking a time of 1:41.27. In the 120-159 age group, Olympic set new AQUA Masters and USMS record in a time of 1:39.81. In the 200 medley relay, Olympic also set USMS records in the women’s 120-159 age group (2:01.04) and the men’s 100-119 age group (1:41.47). - Walnut Creek Masters set a new USMS women’s 72-99 age group record in the 200 medley relay, clocking a time of 2:06.55. - Tamalpais Aquatic Masters established a new USMS men’s 320-359 age group record in the 200 medley relay, coming in with a time of 2:31.74.
