CLAN SIGN CANADIAN DEFENCEMAN REECE HARSCH Glasgow Clan have added Canadian defenceman Reece Harsch to their defensive corps ahead of the 2026/27 season. The 27-year-old blueliner joins the Clan following a productive 2025/26 campaign with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL, where he recorded 19 points from 64 regular-season appearances, finishing the season with a +12 rating. Standing at 6’4” and weighing 201lbs, the right-shot defenceman brings size and experience to the Clan blue line. Harsch was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta and developed through the Canadian junior system before moving into the professional ranks. Harsch has also previously played in the Elite Ice Hockey League, spending the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons with the Fife Flyers. Across his time in Scotland, he made 60 EIHL appearances, registering four goals and 11 assists. Following his time with Fife, Harsch returned to North America, playing for the Cincinnati Cyclones, Jacksonville Icemen and Idaho Steelheads before joining Fort Wayne. His 2024/25 campaign with Idaho saw him post 16 points in 52 regular-season games, while he followed that with 19 points in 64 games for the Komets last season. Harsch also featured prominently during Fort Wayne’s 2026 playoff run, adding five points in 17 games and finishing the postseason with a +5 rating. Speaking after completing his move to Glasgow, Harsch said: Choosing to join Glasgow was a straightforward decision for me.
