Good to see Ramos get on the scoresheet, even if he missed some good chances, and Alexis Saelemaekers also did really well off the bench. Four minutes have been added by the referee. Talk about a rough own-goal. Saelemaekers sent Jashari through on goal, but the midfielder failed to beat the keeper, whose save deflected off a defender and into the back of the net. Off: Modric. Saelemaekers picks up a ball over the top and does really well to find Ramos in the box, and the Portuguese strikers beats the keeper with a low left-footed effort. Great goal and some revenge for the No.9! Milan 1-0 Venezia Milan are not looking very secure at the back, as Venezia are consistently finding good spaces to run into, and their crosses haven’t been bad either. Decent chance for Ramos there on a cross from Saelemaekers, but he sends it wide. On: Rabiot, Saelemaekers. Off: Cisse, Loftus-Cheek. That said, Venezia weren’t completely out of it either with a couple of pretty good chances. Then again, the Rossoneri should be a bit disappointed with the lack of goals. Two minutes added in. Chukwueze does well to create space down the middle but opts for an early shot, which the goalkeeper saves easily. Probably offside, but that was a fantastic chance for Ramos just to get a touch on the ball (great cross by Chukwueze) to send it into the back of the net. He must improve here. Chukwueze finds RLC in the box, who sets up Ramos with a perfect pass, but the shot is simply not good enough. Easy save really. Two good chances for Venezia there in the same sequence, but in the end, Pavlovic makes a last-ditch block to deny them a goal. That was really nice play by Venezia, but Adams definitely messed that up, giving himself no angle despite basically being in a 1v1 run. That’s a great chance for Ramos to open his account for Milan, but the goalkeeper makes the save. Chukwueze played him through on goal there after a failed offside trap by Venezia. Probably should have been a goal. Cisse tries his luck on the edge of the box but the shot is not on target. Really nice work by Musah to set that up. Good cross from RLC for Ramos there, but that’s not the strike he wanted. Definitely scuffed that. The first home game of the season is underway!
