With NFL Training Camps underway and the season still over a month away from its dawn, NFL Head Coaches are giving their all to prepare their teams for the 2026 season. Which coaches have their jobs on the line? Which coaches are likely to be among those receiving pink slips during and after the season? Let’s take a closer look. (all-time coaching record) (Current team record) Hot Seat NFL Coaches? Which Coaches Will Be Fired in 2026? Hot Seat NFL Coaches: Firing Predictions - Mike Vrabel, New England Patriots (68-48) (14-3) – Vrabel is dealing with so much pressure; it’s hard to fathom how he lasts the season in New England. - Kevin O’Connell, Minnesota Vikings (43-25) (43-25) – Playing in the tough NFC North, O’Connell is facing a tough challenge to get the Vikings back to the playoffs. Let’s say his time has run out; it’s time for a change. - Nick Sirianni, Philadelphia Eagles (59-26) – This roster is built to win, but can Sirianni lead the Eagles to success again? Bet he cannot, and will be fired. - Matt LaFleur, Green Bay Packers (76-40-1) (76-40-1) – There is a reasonable chance the Pack will struggle to gain at least nine wins, and that won’t be enough for LaFleur to keep his job. - Todd Monken, Cleveland Browns (0-0) (0-0) – Monken is likely to struggle to gain wins, and with three or four wins, he is shown the door. - Kellen Moore, New Orleans Saints (6-11) (6-11) – The Saints will be trading off assets before the start of the season and before the trade deadline. Moore is shown the door. - Brian Schottenheimer, Dallas Cowboys (7-9-1) (7-9-1) – The Cowboys underperform once again, and Jerry Jones lets him go. - Kevin Stefanski, Atlanta Falcons (45-56) (0-0) – The Falcons should win at least seven games in the not-so-tough NFC South. Here it says he falls way short and gets a pink slip. Hot Seat NFL Coaches: First to get fired O’Connell earns the honor of first on this list. The Vikings stumble, and he is gone by Week 8. Hot Seat NFL Coaches: HOTTEST Seats - Nick Sirianni, Philadelphia Eagles (59-26) – Sirianni was on the verge of unemployment two seasons ago, and then he took the Eagles on a run that led to their Super Bowl victory. The Eagles have arguably the most talented roster in the league. They should win the NFC East and gain at least ten to eleven wins. - Matt LaFleur, Green Bay Packers (76-40-1) (76-40-1) – The Packers have a talented roster and, in theory, should have a good season with Jordan Love manning the offense and Micah Parsons leading the defense. Parsons is returning from injury; however, if either the defense struggles or the Pack ends up with just eight or nine wins, LaFleur is likely out the door. - Mike Vrabel, New England Patriots (68-48) (14-3) – Vrabel has a talented roster, and now Drake Maye has A.J. Brown in the mix. So much turmoil surrounds Vrabel, however, and the challenge will be keeping the team focused. - Kyle Shanahan, San Francisco 49ers (82-67) – Shanahan seems like he’s been around forever. It also seems like he should have a better career record than this. If the 49ers stumble out of the gate and don’t make the playoffs, he is as good as gone. - Kevin O’Connell, Minnesota Vikings (43-25) (43-25) – O’Connell has a new toy at quarterback, and if he can turn Kyler Murray around, the Vikings are playoff contenders. Doubts remain about Murray, and unless he produces, O’Connell will be an offensive coordinator somewhere else next season. - Shane Steichen, Indianapolis Colts (25-26) (25-26) – Steichen had the Colts off to a 7-1 start before injuries saw the team’s hopes sink. A mediocre season will find Steichen out of a job, however. - Todd Bowles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (61-74) (35-33) – Bowles has a restocked roster with key additions on both sides of the ball. Should Tampa miss the playoffs, he might be out the door. - Aaron Glenn, New York Jets (3-14) (3-14) – Glenn oversaw a train wreck last season as head coach, following incredible success as the Lions’ defensive coordinator. Can he utilize the infusion of talented draft additions to right the ship? Hot Seat NFL Coaches: HOT Seats - Todd Monken, Cleveland Browns (0-0) (0-0) – The expectations for Monken are low in his first season. The talent level is low as well, especially after trading Myles Garrett. - Kellen Moore, New Orleans Saints (6-11) (6-11) – This roster has some stars, but it’s not deep enough to produce a playoff-caliber season. - Robert Saleh, Tennessee Titans (20-36) (0-0) – Saleh has proven to be an outstanding defensive coordinator, but he struggled in his previous head coaching stint with the New York Jets. A mediocre season with Tennessee is likely to see him one and done. - Brian Schottenheimer, Dallas Cowboys (7-9-1) (7-9-1) – The Cowboys have the star power to succeed, but it’s questionable if they are playoff-worthy. - Kevin Stefanski, Atlanta Falcons (45-56) (0-0) – Stefanski’s coaching record shows inconsistency. He did well with the offense in Minnesota, and during his first season in Cleveland, he took the Browns to the playoffs. Can he get the most out of the talent in Atlanta, especially the offensive talent led by Kyle Pitts and Bijan Robinson? Main Image: John Jones-Imagn Images
