West Ham close to signing Tottenham outcast Manor Solomon

Tottenham winger is on the brink of joining West Ham in the Championship.
Tottenham Hotspur are not finished in the transfer market just yet, having spent upwards of £230m to bolster Roberto De Zerbi’s squad that narrowly escaped relegation last season.
Since Sandro Tonali’s big-money capture last month, the incomings in N17 have dried up. This is because the club have been focusing on trimming the squad by offloading players who are surplus to the gaffer’s requirements. Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario and Manor Solomon are some of the players expected to leave the club before the September 1 deadline.
Manor has enjoyed a mini pre-season revival at Tottenham, playing more minutes than almost any other first-team star across the club’s four friendlies so far. Yet, the winger is expected to leave Spurs, perhaps permanently this time around, having spent the last two seasons away on loan at Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina. The Israeli international’s agent recently revealed that the player isn’t short of suitors, with West Ham among the clubs vying for his signature.
West Ham closing in on Manor Solomon
It seems that West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo is about to get his wish fulfilled. According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano on X, the Hammers are moving towards the signing of Solomon from Tottenham. The Championship outfit are in advanced negotiations with Spurs and the player’s camp to get a deal done.
It is unclear what the terms of the deal are; whether it is a permanent transfer, a simple loan or loan that contains an option or an obligation to buy, but West Ham are understood to be internally confident of signing Solomon. The Irons have endured an extremely difficult transfer window thus far following their relegation. They have lost key players Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville and Freddie Potts, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka continues to be linked with an exit.
Nuno views Solomon as a replacement for Summerville, who headed to Al-Hilal in a lucrative deal. The West Ham boss will be keen to get this deal over the line as quickly as possible. The 27-year-old has never really established himself at Tottenham and is seeking newer pastures now. As De Zerbi is keen for upgrades in the attacking areas of the field, the Israeli talent has no future in N17.
The last time Solomon played in the Championship, he scored 10 goals and supplied 13 assists in Leeds United’s title-winning 2024/25 season, so Nuno and the Hammers know he has the experience to help them clinch promotion at the first time of asking. Hopefully there’s no last-minute holdup and the diminutive winger gets his move across the capital to the London Stadium.
