Sunday, August 30th, WWE NXT presents NXT Heatwave. The roster has been chaotic, with wrestlers vying for the top spot. Some are fighting to be recognized, while others are simply walking through the NXT doors and taking what they want. Some already have a name built for themselves outside of NXT, but now have to prove themselves in a WWE ring. A lot of gold will be on the line at NXT Heatwave, a great way to close out the summer. With all of these new stars, we truly are entering g a new era of NXT. Who do you want to see on top? Here is what you can expect to see at NXT Heatwave. Check back in for any updates. Will Myles Borne Remain a Double Champion? Myles Borne is going to have his hands full at NXT Heatwave. Right now he holds both the NXT North American Championship and the Tag Team Championships with Tavion Heights. He may have gold on both shoulders, but it also gives him twice the responsibility. Because Borne holds two championships, he will be defending both at Heatwave against the Vanity Project. The North American Championship will be defended against Jackson Drake, and the NXT Tag Team Championships will be defended against Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes. The big question is, will Myles Borne have enough in him to not only compete twice, but to retain both championships? Will he be the one who costs him and Heights the tag team championships? Could that be what ends the friendship between Heights and Borne? The Vanity Project has the chance to walk out of Heatwave with all the gold; will they take advantage of it? Who Will Leave NXT Champion? The NXT Championship has always been a hot commodity, as it should be. The title has been held by some of your favorite WWE superstars. Holding the title means that you are the top guy of the brand. While it is a privilege, it comes with the challenge of having a championship-sized target on your back. Tony D’Angelo is especially facing these challenges now. The challenges come in the form of Grayson Waller, Cruz Montana, and Zilla Fatu. At NXT Heatwave, these four men will meet in the ring in a fatal four-way match. The champion has the disadvantage in this match, as D’Angelo doesn’t need to be involved in the pinfall to lose the title. They all seem to have a chip on their shoulder that they are looking to replace with gold. This match will be Zilla Fatu’s debut match. It is a big first match to have, and it is controversial since he hasn’t done anything to earn this opportunity, but will he be able to capitalize on it? While Fatu is new to NXT, he is not new to the wrestling audience. Some are familiar with his power, while he will show the rest what he can do.
