Former Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Redd is calling out comedian actor Druski for his recent CTE skit about the damaging impact it has on football players. Redd is the Bucks' sixth all-time leading scorer and trails Giannis Antetokounmpo with the third-most points scored (57 points) in a single game. However, he took the time to call out Druski. While Redd respects Druski's comedic talents, he advised the sketch comic to avoid making fun of football players on his X, formerly Twitter. “Druski's had a heck of a run, and he's better at his craft than I ever was at mine. Respect to him. But he might wanna leave football alone. The JSN thing at Honors was bad. Now he's out here making CTE a punchline? Come on,” Redd said. “I played pro sports for a living. CTE is the thing that scares guys in my world more than just about anything, and that's true across every contact sport. “It's taken guys we grew up watching. You don't build a bit around that. The controversial skit received mixed reactions upon its release, including one from Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl champion T.J. Ward. “CTE is the only disease that is allowed to be made fun of. When something is funny, it's funny,” but for the skit, he couldn't be a fan: “You wouldn't make fun of someone with cancer, dementia, or AIDS,” per Speakeasy. Earlier this year, Druski's skit mocked current college fraternity culture and also drew criticism. However, it didn't deter him from making his latest on CTE, which has been the leading cause of mental health issues for current and retired NFL players over the past few decades.
