Manchester United youngster Dan Gore is nearing another temporary exit, as revealed by journalist Nathan Salt. Gore is expected to join Luton Town on loan, where he will look to take another major step forward under manager Jack Wilshere. United are backing Luton to mount a serious promotion push and believe Gore could play an important role in their bid to reach the Championship. Sheffield United were also keen on the 21-year-old, but United ultimately feel Luton offer him the ideal platform to continue his development. Gore spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Rotherham United, where he finally enjoyed the consistent run of football he needed. The midfielder made 41 appearances for the Millers, gaining invaluable experience and earning the club’s Player of the Year award in the process. Primarily a defensive midfielder, Gore made his United debut against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in September 2023. Just three months later, he made his Premier League debut against the same opposition. The United academy graduate has previously struggled with injuries, which have hindered his development. He joined Port Vale in January 2023 but made only a solitary appearance due to fitness concerns. A freak shoulder injury then kept him sidelined for several months. Gore finally found his rhythm at Rotherham, and another standout loan spell could bring him within touching distance of a place in the United first-team. He is reportedly highly admired by the coaching staff at United and they could revisit his situation next summer. Stats from Fotmob.com
