Brooks Koepka will join what is an increasingly high-powered field at the 2026 Amgen Irish Open after committing to play the event for the second year running. The five-time major winner played the Irish Open for the first time at the K Club last year, though missed the cut after struggling for the opening two days. Koepka has signed up to play the 2026 edition at Doonbeg next month, which is already shaping up to have the most star-studded field for an Irish Open in several years. Another former World No. 1 Jon Rahm has already committed to playing the tournament for the first time since his victory in Lahinch in 2019. The Spaniard has a stunning record in the Irish Open, having won it twice in three attempts, in both 2017 (in Portstewart) and again in 2019. In between, he finished tied-fourth in Ballyliffin in 2018. Earlier this year Rahm and the DP World Tour came to an agreement where the player would pay outstanding fines related to playing on the LIV Golf while also agreeing to appear in a set number of events, five, to satisfy the qualifying criteria for next year's Ryder Cup at Adare Manor. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that former Masters champion Patrick Reed, who, like Koepka, has exited the LIV Tour, would tee off in Doonbeg. Another LIV player and European Ryder Cup stalwart, Tyrrell Hatton, is also in the field. Robert MacIntyre, Sepp Straka and Francesco Molinari are all set to play. Rory McIlroy, who claimed his second Irish Open victory in dramatic fashion last year, will defend his title, while 2009 champion Shane Lowry is also in the field, as is 2007 winner Padraig Harrington.
