Furthermore, they added that “every financial decision must be made with the reality of Jalen Brunson’s possible extension — if he signs early, he can sign for four years and $254 million.” It makes sense to give this team one more season together after a historic run this past spring. However, even if they were to repeat, owner James Dolan has made it clear he does not want the team to go over the second tax apron.
