The display offers attendees an up-close journey through robes, gloves, trunks, posters, and various items of high historical and sentimental value that belonged to figures of the stature of Floyd Mayweather, Julio César Chávez, Manny Pacquiao, Jackie Nava, Jorge “Travieso” Arce, Salvador Sánchez, and Raúl “Ratón” Macías. Likewise, one of the exhibition’s greatest attractions is the chronological timeline of the iconic Green and Gold belt, showing everything from its earliest versions to the special designs crafted for the organization’s most monumental moments. “‘Green and Gold’ is an exhibition of items that you will be able to see; we are going to take a tour where you will see trunks, robes, gloves, posters, items that hold immense sentimental value, of everything that boxing represents,” highlighted Mauricio Sulaimán Saldívar during his address. During the inaugural act, the WBC leader emphasized the special synergy between the postal world and pugilism, recalling figures who began their careers in the postal service before reaching glory in the ring, as was the case with Mexican idol Raúl “Ratón” Macías, who worked as a mail carrier in his early days. The “Green and Gold” exhibition will remain open to the general public until October 25, operating Tuesday through Sunday, with free admission for Mexican citizens.
