Jeremiah Beaman, Alabama DL, receives brutal injury update By Jacob Moss Published: The Alabama Crimson Tide are getting ready to kick off their 2026 season against the ECU Pirates on September 5th, and the defensive line is one position group on everybody’s minds in Tuscaloosa heading into game week. Redshirt-sophomore Jeremiah Beaman was expected to play a big role on the Crimson Tide’s defensive front this year, but an injury in practice on Sunday threw those plans into doubt. Any hopes of a minor injury and quick recovery were dashed on Wednesday when Alabama beat writer Nick Kelly officially reported that Beaman had suffered a season-ending ACL tear. A member of Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class, Beaman was a top-100 recruit in the country and chose the Tide over in-state rival Auburn and several other top programs. He redshirted his freshman season after seeing minimal playing time in 3 games. He missed pretty much all of 2025 due to an ACL tear he sustained during practice while preparing for a Week 2 matchup against Louisiana-Monroe. Now the Alabama native will miss another season of his college career while the Tide are forced to fill a big hole along their defensive front.
