Shinsuke Nakamura and his recently introduced partner on WWE SmackDown may now have an official name for their tag team. After weeks of teasing the arrival of a new ally, Nakamura introduced former NJPW star Hiromu Takahashi as his partner on the August 21, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown. The former NJPW star was going to be known as Kyoki in his new endeavor in WWE. The duo subsequently made their intentions clear by teasing a potential pursuit of WWE Tag Team Champions The MFTs. Kyoki and Shinsuke Nakamura’s team to be called Bakusai According to False Finish, WWE’s recent trademark filing for Bakusai is expected to serve as the official name of Nakamura and Kyoki’s tag team. Before joining WWE, Kyoki established himself as one of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s most recognizable junior heavyweight stars. During his time with NJPW, he became closely associated with the Los Ingobernables de Japón faction. He captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship on multiple occasions as he elevated his stature. Kyoki also became a major figure in NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament. He developed a reputation for his energetic style and high-profile matches against some of the promotion’s top junior heavyweights.
