The Jaguars appear to have avoided a major loss to their passing game on Tuesday. Wide receiver Brian Thomas left practice after coming down hard on his left shoulder during a drill in the team’s joint practice with the Buccaneers. After the session, head coach Liam Coen said that Thomas is OK and that the team will now focus on making sure he stays that way for the start of the regular season. “I think it’s alright,” Coen said, via Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com. “Just came down on his shoulder. Holding him out was smart, keep him out and then get him go for Cleveland.” Thomas had 48 catches for 707 yards and two touchdowns during his second season, which was seen as a bit of a disappointment given his rookie production. The Jaguars are hoping he bounces back in 2026 and it doesn’t look like Tuesday’s scare will get in the way of that.
