The 2026 Men’s ILCA 7 World Championship opened in Dún Laoghaire, Ireland with three races on Dublin Bay for the 140 competitors. It is rather fitting that the leader after three races is Ireland’s own Finn Lynch, winning his first heat race and following with a second and fourth, the discard putting him top of the leaderboard, tied on three points with Italy’s Attilio Borio (2, 1, -12). In third is Ole Schweckendiek (-6, 3, 1) of Germany tied on four points with Nicholas Halliday (1, -4, 3) of Hong Kong. Best of the British competitors is Elliot Hanson (6, -14, 1) in 8th tied on seven points with Aussie Matt Wearn (5, -6, 2). Other leading GBR are 15th Michael Beckett (7, -8, 4) with 11 pts, Finley Dickinson 38th, Alastair Brown 50th, Arthur Farley 52nd, Sam Whaley 54th and James Foster 58th. 2026 ILCA 7 World Championship – Day 1 After 3 races, 1 discard (140 entries) 1st IRL Finn Lynch 1 2 -4 – – 3 pts 2nd ITA Attilio Borio 2 1 -12 – – 3 pts 3rd GER Ole Schweckendiek -6 3 1 – – 4 pts 4th HKG Nicholas Halliday 1 -4 3 – – 4 pts 5th COR Tonci Stipanovic 4 1 -5 – – 5 pts 6th KOR Jeemin Ha -5 3 2 – – 5 pts 7th HUN Jonatán Vadnai 3 2 -4 – – 5 pts 8th GBR Elliot Hanson 6 -14 1 – – 7 pts 9th AUS Matt Wearn 5 -6 2 – – 7 pts 10th GER Nik Aaron Willim -21 4 3 – – 7 pts 11th SGP Ryan Lo 2 -6 6 – – 8 pts 12th ARG Francisco Guaragna 3 5 -8 – – 8 pts 13th FIN Valtteri Uusitalo 2 -10 7 – – 9 pts 14th GER Julian Hoffmann -26 3 7 – – 10 pts 15th GBR Michael Beckett 7 -8 4 – – 11 pts
