Green Bay Packers unveil new ‘NFL Rivalries’ alternate uniforms GREEN BAY, Wis. (WSAW) - The Green Bay Packers revealed their new “NFL Rivalries” alternate uniforms Tuesday, featuring a design that honors the franchise’s unique history and public ownership. The green, gold, and alabaster uniforms will make their on-field debut Oct. 11 when the Packers host the Chicago Bears for the 214th meeting of the league’s oldest rivalry. Honoring public ownership Unlike other NFL franchises, the Packers are a publicly owned, non-profit team supported by more than 500,000 shareholders. The team said the design of the “Rivalries” uniform was directly inspired by the paper stock certificates held by those fans. The uniforms feature a desaturated vintage green jersey paired with alabaster pants and a matching matte alabaster helmet. The alabaster color is modeled after the aged paper of the team’s historic stock certificates. The numbers on the jersey feature an engraved treatment designed to look like the intricate lettering found on paper currency, symbolizing the fans’ financial support that has sustained the franchise. Historic details The uniform design also incorporates several nods to Packers history: - A modernized interlocking “GB” logo on the chest, matching the branding used on sideline and practice gear during the Vince Lombardi era. - The phrase “Making History Since 1919” embroidered inside the collar. - The fan rallying cry “Go Pack Go” featured on the back of the helmet. Nike Rivalries initiative The Packers’ new look is part of a league-wide initiative by Nike and the NFL that began in 2025. The program aims to elevate classic rivalry games with specialized uniforms and fan gear. This season, all teams in the NFC North and AFC South divisions will wear newly designed uniforms for a home game against a division rival. Packers “Rivalries” jerseys, helmets, and fan merchandise will go on sale at the Packers Pro Shop and online beginning Sept. 1.
