Even the most die-hard sports fans have to admit: snacks and a good game day ‘fit really make the experience. C’mon, a baseball hat or an oversized jersey moment? So chic! That’s what unites us, the performative and actually-know-what’s-going-on viewers: a belief that vibes matter—even if some of you don’t equate it as quite as important as the score.
Now that this has been established, I have news I think we can all appreciate. Disney has finally dropped its full NFL collection. The merch line—which was produced in partnership with Champion and Fanatics, as well—is pairing all 32 teams with iconic Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars™ characters. And as I’m sure you have guessed by the description alone, it’s pretty much the cutest thing to happen to sports since... Joe Burrow.
“Every pairing was inspired by the qualities, traditions and fan culture that define each NFL team, as well as the shared personalities, traits and stories that connect these teams with beloved Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters,” Director of Graphic Design, Disney Consumer Products, Bret Healey said in the announcement. “The result is a collection that feels authentic to fans while celebrating the passion behind both fandoms.”
After teasing the collection just last month at Fanatics Fest NYC, the lineup of charming tees, crewnecks, and fleece styles is now live on NFLShop.com, Fanatics.com, and DisneyStore.com (as well as inside select retail stores).
So, what are the pairings? The New England Patriots’ Fan pick is Marvel’s Captain America; the Kansas City Chiefs got Disney’s Big Bad Wolf (I’m sure Trav loves that one); and the New York Giants have Wreck-It Ralph. That’s just the beginning.
Honestly, this feels like the perfect way to become a bandwagon fan. Pick your fave character below, and that’s your team, baby!
