The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Pitt defensive back Brandon Hill, the team announced Tuesday. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound safety played two games as a rookie for the Texans, who selected him in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Since being released by the Texans in December, the 25-year-old spent time with the Raiders, Broncos and Bears. Hill played 40 games over four seasons at Pitt, earning All-ACC second-team honors in 2021 and honorable mention in 2022. He finished with 174 tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and nine passes defensed. In a corresponding move, the Steelers released receiver Joaquin Davis.
