Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Seahawks Reacts Survey: Will Jalen Milroe make the 53-man roster? Let’s talk about Jalen Milroe some more, because we can and probably must. The Seattle Seahawks have some significant question marks regarding their team depth after losing Bud Clark, Jake Bobo, and Mason Richman to serious injuries. Naturally, this week’s Seahawks Reacts is about Jalen Milroe, because that’s who has garnered most of the preseason attention. Milroe has not been very good in his second preseason. The sacks have been bad, the two interceptions against the Tennessee Titans were brutal, and he’s not really looked like someone with the ceiling of being an NFL starting quarterback. And yet, he’s still a third-round pick and on a cheap rookie contract, so the Seahawks might be willing to give it another year of development before making a grander decision on his future. There’s no need to be impatient like he’s a top-five pick. The interesting aspect of Milroe’s roster status for 2026 is whether or not he’s expendable due to a combination of his development (or, maybe not developing as well as hoped) and the Seahawks having needs elsewhere on the team. Does it make sense to keep a third quarterback, cheap and physically talented as he may be, if it comes at the cost of an extra cornerback or safety or receiver? If Milroe looked like QB2 over Drew Lock at the very least, this isn’t a debate. It’s probably a debate we’ll continue to have until something changes. The question is “Will Jalen Milroe make the Seahawks’ 53-man roster?” Divorce yourself from what you want to happen and predict what you think will happen. Is he going to be QB3 again? Will he be waived—in a quarterback-needy world, I think he does get claimed—or will he be traded? Vote in the survey below! Field Gulls Will Jalen Milroe make the Seahawks' 53-man roster? We’ll catch you later with the results on Friday, ideally before the Chiefs game. The poll will be closed by then so you can’t have any voter manipulation after the fact.
