These moves mean the minutes at Richy’s disposal would be considerably harder. And that could end up pushing the former Watford man to consider his options going into the final weekend of the summer window. David Moyes currently has Thierno Barry and Beto occupying that central attacking role at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and there is barely any room for a third senior striker there, which is exactly what Tottenham insider John Wenham claims as well. Wenham, while speaking exclusively to Tottenham News recently, has been blunt about how difficult it would be for Richarlison to get minutes at Tottenham. He went on to suggest that this could be the best opportunity for the 29-year-old to leave on his own terms. He said: “Everton fans love him. “Obviously they started the season with a win, they’ve got Thierno Barry, they’ve got another guy up front in Beto. “I don’t know if while they’ve got those two at the club, they’d also add Richarlison as well, that would be a third forward, only if one of those two were to move on could I see a move for Richarlison happening. “If Tottenham do wrap up the signings of Savinho and Omar Marmoush this week, there’ll be very limited game time for Richarlison, and if he doesn’t leave now, I think he will leave in January.” There is also a chance that he would move when the winter comes around if nothing were to materialize for him this deadline day. Time for Tottenham to sell Richy? Richarlison finished last season as the club’s top league scorer, which would hardly have gone unnoticed for any of his possible suitors. And for Tottenham to have his value lower if not enough playing time were to come at his disposal, then it would be a curious way to manage this situation, especially given he would end up being a third choice at Tottenham as well once Solanke gets back to his full fitness. And then considering the fact that he only has one year left on his contract at Hotspur Way, it just becomes a more sensible decision to sell him at whatever fee that is coming rather than losing value in January or losing him for nothing when the summer comes around.
