According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Iran’s women’s national volleyball team faced Iraq on Tuesday in their final preliminary-round match of the 2026 Asian Championship and defeated them 3–0. In the match, which was held in China, Iran dominated from start to finish, winning the three sets 25–4, 25–7, and 25–5. The victory gave Iran its second win of the tournament and brought its tally to six points. Iraq scored just 16 points across the three sets. With this victory, Iran secured its place in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship. Iran’s quarterfinal opponent will be determined after the remaining preliminary-round matches are completed.
