Next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown (August 14, 2026) takes place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout this week’s episode, three title matches were set up for the show. After Baron Corbin retained the men’s United States Championship over Trick Williams, he was attacked by Carmelo Hayes, who informed him that he’s getting the next title opportunity next week. Fatal Influence interrupted a promo from Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton, leading to an agreement that Jacy Jayne would get an opportunity at the Women’s United States Championship if Stratton and Green were given a shot at the women’s tag team titles right then and there. Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid retained, Green and Stratton were attacked by The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend), and Jayne now has her match against Stratton for next week. Lastly, due to the MFTs attacking both Wepa Up and The War Raiders last week to ruin their title-for-title match, R-Truth talked to Nick Aldis to set up a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships against both of those teams. Damian Priest was upset that the AAA World Tag Team Championships are no longer on the line in this equation, making it only their belts up for grabs.
