Baron Corbin successfully retained the men’s United States Championship on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, cheating for the second time in a row to beat Trick Williams, much to the chagrin of the Philadelphia crowd. After a commercial break, Corbin was interviewed by Cathy Kelley, who referred to his two wins over Trick Williams as “upset” victories. This infuriated Corbin, who boasted about how he is never going to let Trick or anyone else get the United States title again. He was then jumped by Carmelo Hayes, who told him that next week, they’re set to have a title match in Melo’s hometown when SmackDown comes to the TD Garden in Boston on August 14th.
