Steelers’ Jalen Ramsey, Max Iheanachor back at practice after injury absences

The Pittsburgh Steelers had injuries to some of their key players throughout training camp, but with the preseason finale coming up this week, they're getting healthy at the right time. Jalen Ramsey and Max Iheanachor are just two players set to return for the Steelers, according to Chris Adamski of the Tribune-Review. “Jalen Ramsey coming off PUP today. Max Iheanachor going to practice today. Per Steelers coach Mike McCarthy,” Adamski wrote on X, formerly Twitter. Ramsey suffered a knee injury earlier in the offseason and missed most of training camp. The good news is that he's back before the preseason finale, but it doesn't mean he'll play. He'll probably be working himself back into game shape over these next few weeks, and he should be ready when they open the season against the Atlanta Falcons. Since Ramsey joined the Steelers last season, he's been used in different positions throughout the field, and that's what he envisioned at this point in his career. Taking into account how smart he is, Ramsey could almost play any position on defense that the Steelers would let him. As for Iheanachor, he missed the first two preseason games with an upper body injury, and he's fighting for a chance to become the starting right tackle. He still has time to prove that he deserves the spot, but it may take a little more work with the season just around the corner. Even if he doesn't have enough time to win the job for Week 1, he could put himself in the position to be a solid backup moving forward.
