However, the ban was overturned due to changes in World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) procedures, which meant the Meldonium found in Mudryk's system 'would not have been reported'. Mudryk made his return to action for Chelsea in a pre-season friendly against Juventus, which the Blues lost 1-0.
