On the final day of the 2026 FISU World University Championships in Canoe Sports in Hungary, Belarusian athletes secured six gold and two silver medals. The winners in their respective events were: Yahor Shkutau (K1 Men 500m); Maksim Murauski (C1 Men 500m); Dzianis Yermolenka, Ivan Bulyha (K2 Men 500m); Lizaveta Prymak and Viktoryia Nestsiarenka (C2 Women 500m); Yahor Auchynnikau, Andrei Zholabau, Piotr Kotau, Vadzim Lychou (C4 Men 500m); Dzianis Yermolenka, Darya Kliuchynskaya (K2 Mixed 500m). All in all, Belarusian athletes collected 12 gold and 2 silver medals. Their closest rivals, Hungary, currently have 8 gold, 10 silver, and 5 bronze medals to their name.
