What do you want to be when you grow up at PSV? That question was central to the “Contract for a Day” event. After taking a career aptitude test and going through a round of interviews, ten children got the chance to truly bring their talents to life during the PSV vs. FC Groningen match. From photographer to steward and from groundsman to press officer: for one day, they got to work at the club they love.
Children often dream of a future as a professional football player. But behind every match, dozens of other talented individuals work together to make match day a special experience for fans. With “Contract for One Day,” PSV helped children discover which role within the club suits them best.
Ten children were selected from all the submissions. They were given the opportunity to spend one day working alongside various departments at PSV during the PSV vs. FC Groningen match on Sunday, August 23.
Part of Team PSV
From press officer to photographer and from social media editor to steward: every child was assigned their own role and a personal mentor from PSV.
Prior to match day, the children had already gathered at the Philips Stadium. There, they met their peers, got a behind-the-scenes look, and officially signed their own “One-Day Contract.”
On Sunday, it all became a reality. The children pitched in during a real home game and discovered firsthand what their roles entail.
An Unforgettable Experience
Throughout the day, the children were accompanied by PSV’s media team. From the initial preparations to the final tasks after the final whistle: everywhere, the kids were hard at work just like real PSV colleagues.
Dreams start here
With “Contract for a Day,” PSV aims to show children that the club needs many different kinds of talent—both on the field and, especially, on the sidelines.
The campaign shows that every match day is made possible by a team of passionate colleagues who work together to create the PSV experience.
For ten children, that world became a reality last weekend.
And who knows… maybe PSV has discovered a future press officer, photographer, or match manager here.
