Ferran Torres scored twice on his Paris Saint-Germain debut as the defending Ligue 1 champions fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Rennes on Sunday.
Rennes appeared on course for victory after establishing a 2-0 first-half lead, but Torres changed the game after replacing Ousmane Dembele at the break.
Sebastian Szymanski opened the scoring for Rennes in the ninth minute following a swift counterattack.
Adrien Thomasson worked the ball inside from the left and found the Polish midfielder, who unleashed a powerful effort from distance that went in off the inside of the left post.
Rennes doubled their advantage in the 38th minute.
The hosts launched an attack from a free kick in their own half before Przemyslaw Frankowski delivered a low cross into the area, where Esteban Lepaul calmly finished into the bottom-right corner.
PSG dominated possession in the opening half but struggled to create clear opportunities, allowing Rennes to take a two-goal lead into the break.
PSG coach Luis Enrique responded at halftime by introducing Torres for Dembele.
The visitors became more dangerous after the restart, with Vitinha denied by a timely challenge before Rennes goalkeeper Brice Samba saved an effort from Desire Doue.
Enrique made another change in the 60th minute, bringing on Fabian Ruiz for Joao Neves.
The substitutions paid off in the 71st minute.
Ruiz produced a lofted pass through the Rennes defense for Torres, who controlled the ball before slotting it past Samba to reduce the deficit to 2-1.
PSG missed an opportunity to equalize in the 76th minute when Doue fired wide following a counterattack.
The visitors completed the comeback six minutes later.
Ruiz delivered another cross from the left, and Torres rose to head the ball across goal and into the bottom-right corner for his second goal of the match.
Rennes almost snatched all three points in the 86th minute when Ludovic Blas met a cross from the left, but Willian Pacho made a crucial goal-line block with PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov unable to intervene.
The result gave both teams one point from their opening Ligue 1 match of the season.
